Dr. Harish Sivagnanam completed his schooling at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Erode, before pursuing his MBBS at Saveetha Medical College, Chennai (2009–2015). He went on to complete his MD in General Medicine at K.A.P. Viswanatham Government Medical College, Tiruchirappalli (2017–2020), followed by his DM in Nephrology at Tirunelveli Medical College (2020–2023). In 2025, he completed the GlomCon Fellowship in Glomerular Diseases, an internationally recognised fellowship dedicated to the diagnosis and management of glomerular diseases. After completing his DM in 2023, he was appointed Assistant Professor of Nephrology at Kalaignar Centenary Super Speciality Hospital, Guindy, Chennai (2024–2025), where he managed approximately 15,000 hemodialysis sessions, cared for patients with complex kidney diseases, and trained postgraduate medical students and nephrology trainees. Concurrently, he served as a visiting consultant at Hande, Vihaa, Clinician Care, IMAX, Srinivasa and Meridian Hospitals in Chennai. At Srinivasa Hospital and Meridian Hospital he established renal transplant programmes and performed complex procedures, including repeat kidney transplantation following previous graft failure and kidney transplantation in a recipient with significant coronary artery disease following recent coronary stenting. In 2025, he returned to his hometown region and joined Revathi Medical Center, Tiruppur, where he established the hospital’s renal transplant programme and led the team for the first successful kidney transplant in Tiruppur. Under his leadership, the hospital introduced Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD), Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), and hemoperfusion. He also co-founded NeoPrime Hospitals, Erode, establishing hemodialysis and CAPD programmes, with a focus on delivering ethical, evidence-based, high-quality and cost-effective nephrology care across western Tamil Nadu. He is among the rarest clinician-scientists to receive Best Paper Awards at all the major academic conferences in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology during his postgraduate and super-specialty training.
